Flow Based Water Leak Detectors

Flow based water leak detectors watch the water coming into a building rather than looking for water on the floor. They sit on the incoming mains supply and react when flow does not look right: water running continuously for longer than it should, for example overnight or while a building is empty, or a sudden surge from a burst pipe.

There are two types in this range. The YdroStop fits next to the water meter and shuts off the supply automatically, with no power or wiring needed, which suits houses, flats and small commercial buildings. The Water Check Monitor and the WDP LeakSaver use a pulse output water meter and an alarm panel, so you set the limits, get an audible and visual alarm, and can close a shut off valve or report to a BMS. The LeakSaver is also used to support BREEAM requirements for major leak detection on commercial buildings.
